Trail 70 Auction

What Makes This Trail 70 Auction Special

Our Honda Trail 70 auction is live, and it will stay up until August 4th. We’ve been working towards this moment for months, and here’s how it started.

Andy Smith, our local Honda expert, approached us about doing a charity build series like we had done on TFLclassics before. We got with our sponsor, Rider Justice, and picked the charity Biker Down to support with the series. Our good friend Scott over at Rider Justice was more than happy to support the build.

Rider Justice is a legal team that has been looking out for bikers from the beginning. That’s why they picked Biker Down to donate all proceeds from this motorcycle’s sale towards. Biker Down is another group that helps out the riding community in a huge way. They offer all kinds of support to riders and their families after an incident.

Why This Bike Build Went Over The Top

With the build going to support such a good cause, Andy went above and beyond on this CT70 build. He did a full engine rebuild from top to bottom including the transmission, and a comprehensive restoration on the rest. However, Andy thankfully preserved the original Honda paint and brought out its original shine with a time intensive wet sand and buff.

All consumable parts like tires, chains, grips and hoses have been replaced. The bike is all OEM Honda parts even down to the Grade 8 hardware holding it together. The only non-original parts are beautifully recreated CHP cables and a seat. Everything else looks like new thanks to a massive detailing effort from Andy and his Trail 70 parts stockpile.

Honda’s old Trail 70 is also a fantastically fun bike to ride and as reliable as any gas powered machine gets. No matter how long you’ve been riding, you’ll feel like a kid again on this little portable dirt bike. There’s not enough good we can say about this bike, we just hope you get to experience it for yourself.

Auction Details

Shipping of the Trail 70 is up to the buyer, and the bike comes with a bill of sale. Back in 1970, this Trail didn’t have a title. While it is still possible to register it, we recommend this motorcycle for off-road use anyway.

The Trail’s new owner also has the option of coming by our studio to meet the team and pick up the bike in person. For more information on the listing, check out the video linked below. Be sure to visit TFLbids.com to see our Trail 70 auction and happy bidding!
