Honda this week unveiled the 2022 Honda Grom, scheduled to arrive in the US Spring 2021. The revised, third-generation Honda Grom arrived back in October 2020 in Europe as a 2021 model, and featured a major exterior redesign in addition to a Euro 5-compliant engine makeover.
Honda also eliminated the previous naming confusion between America and the rest of the world. While it was previously known as the MSX125 in many markets, this popular minimoto will now be sold as the Grom worldwide.
So what’s new for 2022? Firstly, a more-efficient engine now has a fifth gear for increased versatility, while a flatter seat accommodates varying rider heights. The fuel capacity is increased from 1.45 gallons to 1.5 gallons, and a full-featured LCD display makes it easier to read the vitals. A special SP color option has stylish graphics and a yellow shock spring, plus a gold finish for the wheels, brake calipers and fork. There is an ABS equipped version available too.
Grom: Queen Bee Yellow; Matte Black Metallic; Pearl White (SP)
Grom ABS: Candy Blue
MSRP: Grom: $3,399; Grom ABS: $3,599
