This is the 2021 CMX 1100  Rebel –  Honda’s re-entry to the large capacity cruiser class, and new big brother to the already popular Rebel 500.

The newcomer borrows a retuned version of the parallel twin from the current CRF1100 Africa Twin. The 1084cc powerplant delivers 86 hp at 7000 rpm and noticeably offers Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), making it the first cruiser on the market with a semi-automatic gearbox.

Frame wise the CMX 1100 is close to the Rebel 500 but offers beefier tubing. There are conventional telescopic forks and twin rear shocks, although these are beefier than those on the smaller Rebel and preload adjustable.

Brakes are upgraded in front to single disc 330 mm with radial-mount, four-piston caliper for better stopping power.

The 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 will be available in two colors – Metallic Black and Bordeaux Red Metallic. MSRP is $9,299 for the six-speed manual and $9,999 for DCT. Release is expected to be January, 2021.
